Temperatures expected to rebound over the weekend

Mountain Biker in Boise

After the cold and windy weather we experienced yesterday, the forecast is on the rebound for the weekend. Temperatures will be roughly 5 degrees cooler than average today, but warm above our average high of 62 degrees through Sunday. Even with the warmer temperatures on the way, we will see some cloud cover and a slight risk of showers for some areas over the weekend.

A weak warm front will be moving through overnight into Saturday morning providing mainly mountain rain and snow showers with a slight chance of showers throughout the Valley, mainly before 9 am. The Treasure Valley should stay dry through the remainder of the weekend, the mountains will likely see a few showers.

Our warm-up doesn't last too long, you can see the sudden drop expected on Monday with high's just in the 40's. Another strong cold front is expected to work into the region early Monday bringing the possibility for snow showers, even down to the valley floor.
