Perfect weekend for an airshow and then some!
A cold front has moved through the Treasure Valley and now it’s time to talk about a big change in time for the weekend. High pressure is rapidly moving toward the state of Idaho. That means we’ll see the opposite of showers and thunderstorms. We’ll now enjoy blue skies and sunshine. One more thing, temperatures will warm rapidly over the next few days as well.
Friday is going to be a delightful day with highs in the low 70’s. But, with the sunshine it will end up feeling warmer. On Saturday, the high pressure will be centered over the state and that’s when we start getting toasty. We’ll see highs approaching the low 80’s. By Sunday, the high pressure will begin to move eastward. This will put us in a southwest flow and that means we’ll start tapping into warmer air from Nevada. Then end result will be highs warming into the low 90’s. Does that sound hot? Yes it does, but, it can get much hotter this time of the year as records typically stand near 100 degrees as we move into the first week of June.
If you’re planning on enjoying the airshow or any other outdoor activities, please remember the sun angle is high and intense this time of the year. Sun block and hydration should be part of your checklist. Otherwise, plan on having a great weather weekend!
