Adventure Starts with Weather: Boise Valley Snowmobiling Club Fun Run 2019

"This has been going on since day one, since the 70s." says Boise Snowmobiling Club Member Lloyd Skogerson. "We started this."

"We do this to get everyone together," says Boise Valley Snowmobiling Club President Justin Harrison. "With their new sleds, old sleds, young people, old people. We have at least in the mid 70s riding today if not 80s."

Hundreds of snowmobilers from around the state, make their way up to Idaho City each and every winter. To enjoy friends, family while getting a slice of paradise in the Boise Mountains.

Both new snowmobilers and even some longtime self appointed "pros".

"I've been going in this bucket for about 7 years or so, and it's a lot of fun," says Keisa, a young snowmobiler with the club

Boise Snowmobiling Club President Justin Harrison says everyone is welcome.

"You can get off the trail you can stay on the trail," Harrison says.

This 26 mile loop takes around 3 and a half hours to complete.

"The snow is a little thin, but it's nice on top," Harrison says.

And once we hit the mountain, the conditions were picture perfect.

All proceeds from this event go back into the Boise Valley Snowmobiling Club who Harrison says prides itself keeping the mountain clean and groomed.

Helping take care of the land we work and play on for decades to come.
