Kristen grew up in Idaho and is proud of the state that raised her. From her love of the outdoors to the education she received from Boise State University, she is happy to continue to serve Idahoans in the Treasure Valley by sharing the facts and stories waiting to be discovered.
Kristen grew up in Sandpoint, Idaho competing in rodeo in the summers and skiing every chance she could get in the snow-packed winters. She graduated North Idaho College with an Associate’s degree in communication and later moved on to graduate at Boise State with a Bachelor’s degree in journalism minoring in political communication.
Growing up with a camera on her side, Kristen worked in many photography positions while going to school. She was a photojournalist at a local newspaper in north Idaho to and photographer for Boise State. She came to CBS 2 in November of 2017 as a digital content producer and wrote stories for idahonews.com and managed all the social media channels. Now a multimedia journalist, Kristen loves combining her love for photography and writing to create on-air stories.
When Kristen isn’t chasing stories, she loves to read blogs and articles in coffee shops, try new restaurants around Boise and explore the surrounding areas in the Treasure Valley.
