Bravin' it with Bryan and Kelsey: Meeting the 'Bronco Girl'

KBOI 2News morning anchor Kelsey Anderson got some tips from the 'Bronco Girl' Bri Flansburg.

When she isn’t working through her freshman year at Boise State, Brianna Flansburg will head out to Star, her hometown, and get away from it all.

“We have horses, turkeys, pigeons, chicken,” Flansburg said. “Did I mention horses?”

On Boise State game days, she trades the farm for the field.

“Most people just call me the Bronco Girl,” Flansburg said.

Brianna, along with her horse Cassie, get the Albertson Stadium crowd ready before each home game when they ride out onto the field.

Horses are second nature to Flansburg, but to KBOI 2News morning anchors Kelsey Anderson and Bryan Levin, they are pretty foreign.

After a little awkwardness, Kelsey was riding Cassie.

“I feel a connection,” said Kelsey, who guessed she was around eight years old when she was last on a horse.

Bryan had the same troubles when it came to getting on the horse.

“I feel like I am at a petting zoo,” he said.

The reward for dealing with the pair meant some apples.

For Flansburg, this is where her sanctuary is.

A little peace and quiet before game day once again.
