Former Boise State running back Jay Ajayi helped Philadelphia claim its first-ever Super Bowl title Sunday night.

Ajayi ran nine times for 57 yards in Philadelphia's 41-33 win over New England.

"It is surreal. I'm still kind of in shock right now with everything," Ajayi said after the win. "The confetti, seeing the emotions on all my teammates' faces, and then really realizing all we've done and accomplished. This is so special to be the first ever to bring a Super Bowl to Philadelphia and be apart of it. It's a dream come true for me."

The former Bronco joined the Eagles in the middle of the season from Miami and in the regular season accounted for more than 1,000 total yards and two touchdowns.

"A lot of talk was that we were the underdogs, but in our minds we still believed in who we are and what we believed, and I think that showed tonight," Ajayi said.

Ajayi marks the third-straight year where a former Boise State player has played for the Super Bowl winner.

Last year, Shea McClellin won with New England and Matt Paradis won with Denver in 2016.

At Boise State, Ajayi racked up more than 4,500 yards of total offense to go along with 55 touchdowns.
