BSU offering free basketball game tickets to furloughed federal workers
BOISE, Idaho (CBS 2 News) —
Boise State University's Athletics department says it is offering free tickets to two upcoming men's and women's home basketball games to federal workers who have been furloughed due to the government shutdown.
Director of Athletics Curt Apsey says each furloughed worker can get two tickets to the men's game against Wyoming on Saturday at 2 p.m. and two tickets to the women's game against Colorado State next Wednesday at 7 p.m.
Apsey says there will also be food vouchers available from Aramarak for both games, as well as free parking passes for the men's game this Saturday, with parking always being free at the women's games.
BSU says that workers need to bring their federal identification to the Athletic Ticket Office on the west side of Albertsons Stadium to pick up their tickets.
The ticket office is open Monday-Thursday from 9 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. and on Friday from 9 a.m. until 4:30 p.m.
Apsey recommends picking up the tickets ahead of time to ensure access to free parking.
