BSU exhibition basketball game canceled after NCAA weighs in
BOISE, Idaho (KBOI) —
A planned charity exhibition game between Boise State and Portland State Wednesday has been canceled.
BSU says the NCAA approved the school's request for a waiver to play the game and the NCAA agreed, but only if the players would not miss any class time.
Officials say a date and time that would work for both schools couldn't be found, so the game was canceled.
BSU announced the exhibition game on Sunday. The school was planning to take donations that would have been given to disaster relief efforts.
Various schools around the country have been scheduled an additional charity game this year.
