Have you ever wondered what college football team has the title of the nation's "winningest" program?

You may have thought the Boise State Broncos couldn't be far from the top, and you'd be right.

With Boise State’s win over Colorado State and Michigan’s loss to Ohio State during the final week of the regular season, the Broncos have taken over as the winningest team in college football history in terms of percentage.

Since becoming a four-year school in 1968, Boise State is now 459-169-2. That is a winning percentage of .7302. Ohio State moved into the second spot with a record of 923-325-53; making their win percentage .7298).

The Boise State football team is in the midst of 18-consecutive seasons in the national rankings, tied with USC for the eighth-longest active streak in the nation.

With its overtime victory over Wyoming, Boise State cemented its 22nd-consecutive season with a winning record, the longest active streak in the nation, the 15th-longest streak in NCAA history and the longest by a Group of Five school all-time.

The team will host the Mountain West Football championship game Saturday (Dec. 7) at Albertsons Stadium. Kickoff is set for 2 p.m. and the game will be nationally televised by ESPN. Jaylon Henderson will start at the quarterback position.
