UPDATE: Interstate 15 southbound traffic is now open while Interstate 84 eastbound exit remains closed.

(KUTV) - Just before noon, multiple cattle fell onto Interstate 15 after a semi-truck crashed onto Interstate 84 in Riverdale, Utah.

The ramp from southbound I-15 to eastbound I-84 is closed on the I-84 bridge as emergency response teams clear the scene. I-15 is also closed at 31st Street. The Utah Department of Transportation website reports the freeway is not anticipated to be reopened until after 2:45 p.m.

Footage shows cows wandering alongside the freeway. Some of the cows are shown motionless, presumably dead.

A similar accident happened on the ramp to Highway 84 in Jan. 2016. Approximately 80 cattle died in the crash and I-15 was closed for nearly 7 hours.
