There are loads to do during the Fourth of July weekend, and here's a basic guide of fun options for those who live in the Treasure Valley.

City of Boise: Cookout, Parade, and Fireworks Celebration:

  • July 3, 11:30 a.m. - Holiday cookout of burgers, sides and soft drinks
  • July 4, 11 a.m. - 3 p.m. - Parade in downtown Boise
  • 6 p.m. - The party starts in Ann Morrison Park and includes food and drink vendors
  • 10:15 p.m. (dusk) - Fireworks begin at Ann Morrison Park; the display will be synced to music 107.1 K-HITS

Boise Hawks Homestand:

- Thursday, July 4 vs. Tri-City Dust Devils (San Diego Padres)

  • Gates Open: Special Early Gates Open at 5:30 PM First Pitch: 7:15 PM
  • Independence Day Celebration Post-game Fireworks, presented by Craig Swapp and Associates and media partner CBS 2. Fans can stay and enjoy an Independence Day-themed fireworks show after the game

- Friday, July 5 vs. Tri-City Dust Devils (San Diego Padres)

  • Gates Open: 6:30 PM First Pitch: 7:15 PM
  • Grilling Apron Giveaway, presented by Tucanos Brazilian Grill. First 1,000 fans 18 and older inside the gates of Memorial Stadium will receive a Grilling Apron Giveaway.
  • $1 Night, presented by Falls Brand. Fans can enjoy $1 hot dogs, ice cream bars, popcorn, and snow-cones all game long.
  • Friends and Family Night (Pepsi). Special Ticket Offer – four 3B/HP Reserved seats, 4 hot dogs, 4 Pepsi products and $10 merchandise credit for $50. For online sales, enter “PEPSI” at the Ticket Sales page.

- Saturday, July 6 vs. Tri-City Dust Devils (San Diego Padres)

  • Gates Open: 6:30 PM First Pitch: 7:15 PM
  • Post-game Fireworks, presented by media partner CBS 2. Fans can stay and enjoy a fireworks show after the game.
  • Youth Soccer Ball Giveaway, presented by Pepsi. First 500 kids 12 and under will receive a Youth Soccer Ball, thanks to Pepsi.
  • Rockies Day, presented by St. Luke’s Children’s Hospital. On Rockies Days, a Rockies inspired jersey will be raffled off to a lucky winner. Proceeds will be donated to St. Luke’s Children’s Hospital.
  • Saturday Pre-game Clinic, presented by St. Luke’s Children’s Hospital and Bodybuilding.com. Every Saturday from 6:35 – 6:55 PM, kids can join Hawks players on the field for a free pre-game baseball clinic.

Meridian Independence Day Celebration:

  • Meridian Parks and Recreation presents an afternoon and evening of family activities at Storey Park
  • 3:00 p.m. – 11:00 p.m. three-legged races, hula hoop contests and other games for the whole family with the
  • Fireworks show starting at 10:15 p.m.

Eagle Independence Day:

  • Eagle Hills Golfe Course Couples Chapman; 18 hole competition with teams of one man and one woman
  • - Both players will hit tee shots from their designated tee box and then the man will hit the ball from the woman's tee shot and the woman will hit the second shot from the man's tee shot. From this point, the team will select the best ball and alternate shots until it is holed.
  • Luke Carter Jazz/R&B at Bacquet's 7-10 p.m.
  • Summer Matinees at the Public Library 3 - 6 p.m.
  • July 5th & 6th: Eagle Fun Days;
  • Friday: Family Fun Night 5 - 8 p.m. / Taste Eagle 6 - 11 p.m.
  • Saturday: Eagle Fun Day Run 8 a.m. / Car show 12 - 4 p.m. / Cornhole Tournament 3:00 p.m.

  • 12 p.m. - 3 p.m. Lightning River Band

McCall's Lakeside Liberty Fest:

  • July 4th
  • 10 a.m. - dusk: Food Vendors
  • 10:30 a.m. Free Lakeside Family Yoga
  • FIREWORKS AT DUSK over Payette Lake
  • July 5th: 9:45 p.m. Free Outdoor Movie
  • July 6th: 9 a.m. - 2 p.m. Airport Open House

Star Hometown Celebration:

  • Star's 4th of July Hometown Celebration includes a fun run, parade, luncheon and pie auction, kids games, talent show, raffle, concert and fireworks
  • 7 a.m. Fun Run at Hunter's Creek Sports Complex
  • 10 a.m. The parade begins at W. State Street in front of El Mariachi Loco and travels west, ending at Star Road.
  • 11 a.m. - 1 p.m. Luncheon at LifeSpring Church
  • 12 p.m. Pie auction at LifeSpring Church
  • 3 p.m. - 6 p.m. Kids games (all afternoon and evening events take place at Hunter's Creek Sports Complex)
  • 6:30 p.m. Talent show and raffle
  • 8 p.m. - 12 a.m. The Fabulous Chancellors concert
  • 10:15 p.m. Fireworks show

Dworshak Reservoir offers July 4 holiday fun:

  • The Dworshak Dam Visitor Center is open daily from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
  • The center offers a variety of interpretive displays and movies about Dworshak and the history of the Clearwater River area, including the popular “Last of the Log Drives.”
