Who pushed this vehicle into a ravine near Table Rock?
BOISE, Idaho (CBS 2) —
A woman who spent an evening up at Table Rock recently reported it stolen after she returned to her vehicle and it was no where to be found.
As it turns out, the vehicle was pushed down the hill.
The Ada County Sheriff's Office says the woman and a friend parked her red Ford Focus near the gate below Table Rock and ended up spending about 90 minutes checking out the view just before midnight Aug. 30.
When she returned, the vehicle was missing. The next morning, a family member of the woman found the car at the bottom of a ravine, several hundred feet below where it had been parked.
The Ford Focus was destroyed. Deputies say the vehicle was still locked and what remained of the windows indicated that it went off the cliff. The parking brake was engaged and a purse and backpack was still in the car.
The sheriff's office says it believes a larger vehicle, such as a truck, drove up behind it and pushed it off the side.
Anyone with information about the incident is asked to call 208-377-6790.
