ACHD to install 50 permanent radar speed signs across the county
BOISE, Idaho (KBOI) —
The Ada County Highway District says it plans to install up to 50 permanent radar speed signs throughout the county.
The highway district says the signs will show drivers what the posted speed limit is as well as their current speed. The signs will only alert drivers. No tickets or warning citations are issued through these signs.
The solar-powered devices don't collect data, however, ACHD says it will perform traffic studies to see whether the devices are working to reduce speeds.
