Trump cabinet member to visit Boise

Linda McMahon, Administrator of SBA

A member of the Trump cabinet will be in Boise on Friday, September 29th. Linda McMahon, head of the Small Business Administration, was originally going to come to Boise last month, but was delayed because of hurricane relief efforts.

McMahon is scheduled to visit five small businesses in Boise and one in Meridian as part of her "Ignite Tour." The stated goal of the tour is to "listen, educate and highlight the role of small businesses in economic growth."

As the 25th administrator of the SBA, McMahon is an advocate for the 28-million small businesses in America.

"Small business owners take a risk on an idea, invest in their communities and create jobs," writes McMahon. "Their skills and creativity not only support their own families, they make neighborhoods vibrant places to live and work and fuel the state's, and nation's, economic strength."

McMahon noted that 99% of businesses in Idaho are small and employ nearly 294,000 people .
