Through Their Eyes: rescuers return to the kennels for a full 24 hours

Meridian Canine Rescue

The humans at Meridian Canine Rescue are delighted to announce their second “Through Their Eyes” event. First held in July 2017, this event is a unique showcase for the dogs and people at MCR.

For a full 24 hours, volunteers and staff live inside of the kennels with select dogs who are waiting to be adopted. The event begins on Friday at 6:00 p.m.

The idea for “Through Their Eyes” arose after MCR staff saw that, despite the unique personalities that have endeared them to people within the organization, some dogs are routinely overlooked by prospective adopters.

In an effort to better promote the individual dogs and their quirky personalities, rescuers live with them and document the experience on MCR’s Facebook page.

The event begins Friday at 6 p.m. February 16th and runs until Saturday at 6 p.m. February 17th.

Donations can be made online or in person and are used to support MCR’s care of homeless dogs.

Meet-and-greets with available dogs can take place Saturday the 17th starting at 12:00 noon.

The Rescue is located at 501 E Scenery Ln, Ste 100 in Meridian.
