Three guns in three days found at Boise Airport security checkpoint
BOISE, Idaho (CBS 2) —
The Transportation Security Administration says its officers have found three loaded guns in the past three days at Boise Airport's security checkpoint.
The first gun was found on Tuesday morning after a TSA officer found a pistol with six rounds in the passenger's carry-on luggage. On Wednesday, another gun with 11 rounds were discovered in a passenger's luggage.
And on Thursday, TSA found a pistol with 13 rounds belonging to a passenger who was heading to Denver.
"With the discovery of three firearms in three days at Boise Airport, it is a stark reminder to follow rules for traveling with a firearm to make sure it is a happy and safe holiday season," said Any Coose, TSA federal security director for Idaho.
The TSA has found 22 guns in passenger luggage at Boise Airport in 2018, which is down from 2017 when 29 guns were found.
