Texas fugitive who posed as a doctor arrested after Boise police find him with flat tire
BOISE, Idaho (CBS2) —
A wanted man from Texas who was known to pose as a pediatrician, was found with a flat tire on Bogus Basin Road Sunday morning. He was taken into custody.
Boise Police identified the man as 29-year-old Lee Smith III.
Around 9:30 a.m. Boise Police were called for a welfare check on Lee's car that had a flat tire in a parking lot off Bogus Basin Road.
After a records check, officers were advised through dispatch that Smith had two confirmed extraditable warrants through the state of Texas.
Texas Crime Stoppers say Smith is wanted for Sexual Assault of a Child and Indecency with a Child. They report Smith sexually assaulted a 15-year old, and also sexually molested a 6-year old victim in Houston. They say he was known to dress as a doctor and pose as a pediatrician.
Police placed Smith under arrest for being a fugitive to Idaho and he was booked into the Ada County Jail.
