Is the smell spreading? South Meridian neighbors wake up to awful stench
MERIDIAN, Idaho (CBS2) —
Is the stench from Kuna spreading? People in south Meridian neighborhoods say it’s a possibility after waking up to a bad smell Tuesday morning.
Some tell us they wondered if there was something rotten in their home.
A few even called city hall to complain. Meridian city leaders say it’s out of their hands.
"It's more of like a rotten egg that's been sitting out for a while. Not the best smell," said Hannah Galway, a Meridian neighbor.
There is a possibility the smell is coming from a pond in Kuna. The Department of Environmental Quality has been working to minimize the smell using chlorine and scented deodorants. But, so far no luck.
