Highway 95 is shut down in both directions just north of Wilder Thursday afternoon as crews investigate a crash involving two commercial vehicles.

Idaho State Police says the crash is at milepost 41.5.

According to Idaho State Police a 71-year-old from Nampa was preparing to make a left turn onto Jacks road in a Volvo semi when a 36-year-old from Emmett was driving southbound in a Kenworth semi. The Volvo semi turned in front of the Kenworth semi, and they collided head-on.

Police say the Volvo came to rest in the roadway blocking all lanes. Both were taken to St. Alphonsus Regional Medical Center in Boise, according to police.

The driver of the Volvo was wearing a seatbelt and was transported by ground ambulance, and the Kenworth driver was transported by air ambulance, and was not wearing a seatbelt during the crash.

All lanes of travel have been opened.

The crash is under investigation by Idaho State Police.
