BOISE, Idaho (CBS2) — Boise Police chief Ryan Lee is under investigation by Idaho State Police, according to a report by the Idaho Statesman.
The newspaper reported Friday evening the investigation is over an alleged incident when Lee showed another officer "two types of holds on an officer" during a department meeting. That person later received an injury from the demonstration and filed a worker's compensation claim, Lee's attorney, Chuck Peterson told the Statesman.
CBS2 has reached out to Idaho State Police but has yet to hear back.
The city said that it was aware of the state police investigation, and "we see no reason to take any action," a spokesperson said. "Chief Lee continues to protect and serve the people of Boise with dignity and honor."
