Police: Man shot himself after officers responded to report of shots fired

Boise police say a man has been taken to the hospital after apparently shooting himself Saturday night.

Officers say they responded to a report of shots being fired near 32nd Street and Hill Road just after 11 p.m.

Police say as they were arriving on scene, the man turned the gun on himself, causing life-threatening injuries.

Paramedics took the man to the hospital.

The man's name has not been released.

Boise police detectives are investigating.
