Boise police say they have arrested a Mexican man who had over $110,000 worth of meth and heroin last weekend.

Police say they made contact with a man acting suspiciously in a parking lot on the 8300 block of Overland Road Saturday afternoon.

Officers say they learned the man was in possession of substances they believed to be illegal.

Police say they were able to take Briyan Paniagua Chayrez, 24, of Mexicali, Mexico, into custody while they investigated the substances.

Narcotics officers say they discovered seven large packages of methamphetamine and a container with heroin inside.

Police say the packages totaled seven pounds of meth and 556 grams of heroin, which they estimated to be worth over $110,000 in street value.

BPD says Paniagua Chayrez was arrested and booked into the Ada County Jail on two felony counts of drug trafficking.
