Police: Boise man arrested after approaching, yelling obscenities at students near school
BOSIE, Idaho (CBS2) —
Boise High School was placed in “shelter in place” mode today after a Student Resource Officer was made aware of a man approaching students and disturbing them as they returned from lunch in the area just next to the campus.
Witnesses say the man was acting strangely and yelling obscenities at the students.
Police arrested the man and identified him as 42-year-old Boise man, James Van Camp.
Boise Police Bicycle Unit officers quickly found Van Camp nearby on State Street between 5th and 6th Street and took him into custody without incident.
Van Camp, had a misdemeanor warrant, police say.
He was taken to the Ada County Jail and booked for the warrant and disturbing the peace.
