A man has been taken into custody after an hours long standoff in southeast Boise.

Boise Police says officers were attempting to serve a warrant at a home in the area of Pennsylvania between Parkcenter Boulevard and Boise Avenue.

Authorities told KBOI 2News that the arrest warrant stemmed from a domestic situation and police are looking for a man inside the home. Police have asked that two nearby day cares (New Horizon and Little Scholars) be placed into a shelter in place situation as a precaution. It's unclear whether any weapons are involved at this point.

Boise Police identified the man as Shane Williams, 34, of Boise. Officers arrested Williams on charges of felony burglary, felony first degree stalking, misdemeanor violation of a no contact order, and three misdemeanor probation violations.
