Payette County Sheriff looking for man they say forced his mother off road

The Payette County Sheriff's Office is looking for a man they say intentionally forced his mother off the road while she was driving to the Sheriff's office for help.

Deputies responded to a crash on US Highway 95 north of 19th Avenue Thursday night. The Payette City Police Department and the Idaho State Police assisted at the scene.

When deputies arrived they found an 80-year-old Payette woman that was injured in the crash. She was taken to a local hospital.

During their investigation they identified the woman's son, 58-year-old Roger Wayne Lincoln, as a suspect.

An arrest warrant has been issued for Lincoln's arrest with a bail of $1 million.

The charges on the warrant are for Aggravated Battery, Intimidating a Witness, Leaving the Scene of an Injury Collision and Intentional Destruction of a Telecommunication Line or Telecommunication Instrument.

The Payette County Sheriff’s Office is seeking the public’s assistance in locating Lincoln. The Sheriff's Office says Lincoln may be driving a red 1999 Pontiac Firebird Trans Am.

If he is located they say you should not approach him.

The investigation into this incident is continuing by the Payette County Sheriff’s Office with the assistance of the Idaho State Police.
