MERIDIAN, Idaho (CBS 2) — If you're hankering for a little sweet AND savory you're in luck.
Really, really good luck.
The Donut + Dog of Nashville, Tenn., will be expanding to the Village in Meridian with its second restaurant July 31. The restaurant features brioche donuts, a process that takes 20 hours, crafted hot dogs, organic coffee and craft beer on tap.
"We believe it's the perfect combination of sweet and savory," owners Nicole and Will Primavera said.
The restaurant's donuts are described as "light to the bite, rich center, while not being heavy or overly sweet." And as for the dogs, you may want to try the "Elote Loco" -- chorizo on a brioche bun with Mexican street corn, cotija cheese, lime and cilantro. The bun is as if the lobster toll married Texas toast, the owners say.
Donut + Dog will offer gift bags for the first 50 customers July 31 and will also have free donuts for children under 5 years old. | Information
