Nampa Police: Woman shot outside of a home Wednesday afternoon

A 40-year-old woman was shot in the leg outside of a home Wednesday Nampa Police say.

The injury does not appear to be life threatening and she was transported to a local hospital.

The incident was reported Wednesday at 2:52 p.m at the 300 block of 1st Street North.

Police say Fidel B. Molina, 26, of Meridian had left the scene and was located by officers a short distance away. They say he was charged with a misdemeanor charge of disturbing the peace and a misdemeanor charge of public intoxication.

Molina will be taken to the Canyon County Jail police say.

This is an on-going investigation.
