Coroner: 16-year-old Nampa boy died of multiple gunshot wounds
NAMPA, Idaho (KBOI) —
A 16-year-old boy has died after the Ada County Coroner says he was shot multiple times late Tuesday night in a Nampa neighborhood.
The Ada County Coroner identified the boy as Roberto Angel Gomez of Nampa.
Nampa Police says its officers responded to a call of a shooting near 11th Ave. North and Powell Avenue at about 10:22 p.m.
When they arrived, they found Gomez who had been shot. He was taken to Saint Alphonsus Regional Medical Center in Boise where later passed away.
Police say they are investigating this as a homicide and are interviewing witnesses to identify the suspect or suspects.
The motive for the shooting is not known at this time.
