Murder, suicide reported in Coeur d'Alene

COEUR d'ALENE, Idaho (CBS2) — Two people found dead inside a Coeur d'Alene home are believed to have died in a murder, suicide.

The Kootenai County Sheriff's Office says family members contacted police for a welfare check on Sunday evening after they were unable to get a hold of their parents. Police went to the home and found 45-year-old Heather MacDonald and 48-year-old Kevin MacDonald dead.

Deputies did not say who they believe shot first.

"This is an ongoing investigation and information may be released when it becomes available," the sheriff's office wrote.
