Mosquito trap in Canyon County tests positive for West Nile Virus

BOISE ,Idaho (KBOI) — Canyon County says a trap in Caldwell that was tested Wednesday morning came back positive for West Nile Virus.

The county says the trap is in the Ash Street and Montana Street area, which is a residential area.

The mosquito abatement district says they will be sending ground crews to the area Thursday to inspect storm drains, catch basins, and homes for active mosquito larvae.

The district says they will also be low-volume fogging the area both Wednesday and Thursday night.
