A public memorial service is planned for Ruya Kadir Saturday at 4:30 pm. at the Boise Centre West room 100.

Julianne D. Tzul, Director at the International Rescue Committee said there is no dress code, however, the family is asking people to wear pink and purple as they were Ruya's favorite colors. There will be pink ribbons handed out.

Flowers are also welcome at the ceremony.

Photos of Ruya will be displayed throughout the Boise Centre.

D. Tzul says the family will be doing a private service beforehand and asks the public to please respect the family's privacy.

The Idaho Congressional Delegation provided advocacy for Ruya’s father to have his visa expedited. According to D. Tzul, he is currently in route from Turkey to Boise and will be here in time for the private memorial and burial.

According to the IRC, Ruya's mother wants to feel the community support around her because it helps her find comfort.

Donors have come together to pay for the memorial. Those donors are the Red Cross, Office for Refugee Resettlement, and Catholic Charities. The LDS Church is also helping with food.

We will be streaming the memorial live on Facebook and on www.Idahonews.com.

Three-year-old Ruya Kadir died after a mass stabbing occurred at her birthday party in Boise Saturday.

Boise Police say the Ruya was flown to Utah for treatment of injuries she received in Saturday night’s attack. She succumbed to her injuries in the hospital.

Eight others were stabbed at the party by Timmy Kinner of Los Angeles. Investigators say the preliminary evidence is showing that Kinner was a temporary resident at an apartment complex at State Street and Wylie Lane, where the stabbings happened. They say he had kept a few things for a few nights at a resident's apartment in the area the week prior to the incident.
