Man making threats forces evacuation of Boise Fred Meyer
BOISE, Idaho —
Boise police say they were called to the Fred Meyer store in the 3500 block of Federal Way due to a man in a bathroom who was yelling at people to stay back and claimed to have a gun.
Officers made contact with the suspect, and evacuated the store while they communicated with the suspect who was initially uncooperative.
The suspect is identified as 28-year-old Andrew Middleton of Boise.
A short time later, police were able to take Middleton into custody and secure the scene. Police say the man did not have a weapon.
Middleton was booked into Ada County Jail, charged with FTA Warrant (F), providing false information to police (m), and disturbing the peace (m).
