Dr. Jo Jorgensen, the first female presidential nominee of the Libertarian party stopped by the Treasure Valley on Wednesday.

Jorgensen is a senior lecturer in psychology at Clemson University.

On Wednesday evening, she shared her vision for America to an audience gathered at Julius M. Kleiner Memorial Park in Meridian.

"I will end no-knock raids which too often kill innocent bystanders like Breonna Taylor," Jorgensen vowed.

The presidential nominee also explained that due to an arcane doctrine known as qualified immunity, it becomes nearly impossible to take legal action against police officers in cases like Taylor’s.

"When I am your president, I will end qualified immunity so that police are held to the same standard as everyone else," Jorgensen said.
