UPDATE: Missing Idaho snowmobiler found after spending cold night in forest

Authorities have found a 62-year-old snowmobiler who spent a cold night by himself in the Panhandle National Forest.

The Kootenai County Sheriff's Office says Frederick Goodwin was found at about 8:40 a.m. on foot, working his way back to the a trail head.

"Fredrick was cold, wet and tired and suffering from the onset of hypothermia," the sheriff said.

The Rathdrum man was snowmobiling when he became separated from his party. He was treated on scene by paramedics.
