Is suspect spotted in horrendous animal abuse videos from Boise? Police trying to find out
BOISE, Idaho (CBS2) — Do you recognize these tattoos?
Boise Police on Friday released screenshots of tattoos of a suspect spotted in some extremely graphic animal abuse videos. The agency says it's still trying to figure out whether the suspect and videos have any local connection in the "very disturbing" cases.
Earlier in the week, the Idaho Humane Society said it had received numerous reports from folks claiming it was a local person. The Humane Society also says the FBI is now investigating.
"There are unconfirmed reports from people who believe that the videos might have been recorded in Boise or the surrounding area," Boise PD said.
But officers say they have not confirmed, at this point, that the case has any local ties.
"Boise Police have not been able to link any reports of missing pets to the online videos and there is no confirmation that the animal abuse happened in Boise," BPD said.
