CALDWELL, Idaho (CBS 2) — Investigation Discovery's "In Pursuit with John Walsh" will take an in-depth look at a Caldwell triple homicide.
In June of 2017, three people were found shot to death inside a shed at a home outside of Caldwell. Gerald "Mike" Bullinger is suspected of shooting his wife, Cheryl Baker, 56; Nadja Medley, 48; and her 14-year-old daughter, Peyton.
Canyon County sheriff Kieran Donahue told CBS 2 News last year that he's 99 percent convinced that Bullinger is deceased. His vehicle was found abandoned in a remote area of Wyoming.
"I think the case is solved," Donahue said at the time. "One hundred percent solved, with the forensic evidence we have, and the facts of the case, we have solved the crime."
The show will air Wednesday night.
The show spent a few days in Canyon County several months ago interviewing Sheriff Donahue and Detective Chuck Gentry about the case and got video footage.
Joe Decker with Canyon County Sheriff's Department says that Donahue still believes Bullinger is most likely dead but the department still looking into the case. He says, "it’s imperative that we continue to shed light on this case to hopefully bring some sense of closure to the families of the victims."
Decker says detectives continue to follow-up on each and every lead and tip that comes in, but there is still no new information to release at this time.
