Indian Creek Plaza Debut: 'They couldn't have done it better'

The day Caldwell residents have been waiting for. Indian Creek Plaza is now open.

Folks who attended the soft opening Tuesday say the plaza is exactly what downtown Caldwell needed and it more than exceeded their expectations.

"They couldn't have done it better and I can't wait to see everything develop around the plaza. We'll be out here every Tuesday night," said Kellee Nelson, a Caldwell Resident.

Music, food and family. Enough to keep the good times rolling. That's exactly what Indian Creek Plaza brings to downtown Caldwell.

The members of the community got behind project, watching it become reality over the past 5 years.

And now, some say it exceeds their expectations.

"This is family oriented and Caldwell is family oriented. So, this is going to boom. Things are going to blossom from here," said Terry Harrell, a Caldwell Resident.

This all age plaza caters to everyone's needs. But, the kiddos especially get a kick out of the splash pads. Kkeeping cool on a hot summer's day.

"It's going to be absolutely a lot of fun. Something that the parents can enjoy just sitting and kind of relaxing so the kids can just kind of have fun and the parents can kind of sit back and relax. It's very smart, very smart," said Leala Archer, a Caldwell Resident.

Concert Tuesday's, yoga Wednesday's, cinema Thursday's are going on all summer on the plaza.

But, fun on the plaza won't end with summer.

"I can't wait to see it during the holidays. Christmas with the lights and the ice skating rink. Just amazing," Harrell.

If you didn't make it out, the Plaza will have a ribbon cutting and beach party event on Thursday, July 12th starting at 4:30 p.m.
