Multiple local fire departments sending crews to help with California fires

Seven Treasure Valley fire departments are sending firefighters to help with the fires burning in California.

The firefighters are grouped into two task forces leaving Thursday morning.

One task force is from Boise, Meridian, Kuna, and Star, the other one is comprised of firefighters from Kuna, Sand Hollow, Parma, and Emmett.

A spokeswoman for the Boise Fire Department says they received a request for aid Wednesday.
