Multiple sources report that the FBI has now joined the investigation alongside Moscow Police in the suspected homicide of four University of Idaho students this weekend.

An FBI Spokesperson told the Idaho Statesmen “Although I can’t discuss specific efforts, the FBI often provides investigative, forensic, and technical assistance to local law enforcement agencies if requested,” said Sandra Yi Barker, spokesperson for the FBI’s Salt Lake City Field Office, which covers Idaho.

Moscow Police have yet to make an official statement, saying this is an "ongoing investigation," although a statement made via public information stating that the Moscow Police do not believe the community is in any danger has been met with backlash on social media. Moscow Police have refused to comment further as to why they don't believe there is a risk to the community and that they do not plan to hold a press conference tonight.

Police have not said whether or not they have a suspect, and no arrests have been made.
