BOISE, Idaho (CBS 2) — A driver was hospitalized and charged with a misdemeanor DUI Friday after crashing into a tree on the Greenbelt.
The driver left the parking lot near Willow Lane Park and drove on the Greenbelt for a quarter-mile before crashing into a tree according to Boise Police.
CBS 2 was told by an eye witness, Jacob Vanderweken, that he saw the car's wheels continue to spin out. Vanderweken said he took the keys out of the ignition so the driver couldn't drive away.
Ada County dispatch confirms that a call of a crash came in at 4 p.m. at the 4900 block of West Willow Lane.
The driver was taken to the hospital. No one on the greenbelt was injured.
