Chair lift at Soldier Mountain temporarily down

FAIRFIELD, Idaho (CBS2) — Soldier Mountain's primary chair lift is down due to mechanical issues.

The mountain on Friday said that its magic carpet lift will be the only thing in operation. It originally had plans to take skiers up to the second chair lift via snowcat and snowmobile, but those plans have been scrapped.

Saturday operations will begin at 10 a.m. instead of 9 a.m. Skiers that want to hike are welcome to hike the hill and ride on the terrain park.
