Canyon County Sheriff breaks up alleged auto theft ring
NAMPA, Idaho (KBOI) —
While checking out a report of suspicious activity in the 5000 block of Howard Lane in Nampa, a Canyon County Sheriff’s Deputy discovered six stolen vehicles parked at a house. The vehicles were three cars and three motorcycles.
All of the vehicles were stolen from Ada and Canyon Counties. Sheriff's investigators are now working to track down their owners.
Three people believed to be involved in the auto theft ring were taken into custody at the house. Arrested on suspicion of grand theft by possession was 47 year old Francisco Malacara Jr. of Middleton. And arrested on other warrants were 34 year old Kacey P. Emerson and 29 year old Cason J. Bowen, both from Nampa.
Sheriff's detectives continue their investigation and say more arrests and charges are possible.
