Caldwell mother pleads not guilty in sexual abuse case
NAMPA, Idaho (AP) — A Caldwell mother has pleaded not guilty to a charge related to her husband's sexual abuse case.
Sarah Kester's daughters have accused their father of sexually abusing them 17 years ago when they were children.
The Idaho Press reports the Caldwell mother is accused of failing to report the alleged sexual abuse.
Kester is being held in the Canyon County jail on a $25,000 bond.
Her lawyer, Bethany Lyn Harder Haase, argued for Kester's bond to be reduced, but Judge Davis VanderVelde denied the request Tuesday.
Her jury trial is set to begin Oct. 24.
