Caldwell debuts Indian Creek Plaza in summer series kickoff
CALDWELL, Idaho (KBOI) —
After five years in the making, Indian Creek Plaza will come to life Tuesday night with a soft opening kicking off their summer concert series.
Fun for one, fun for all. Indian Creek is an all ages plaza with events for family, or date night fun.
"We have lots of folks that have really been anticipating this for about 5 years so we are very excited and so is the community," said Wisti Rosenthal, Executive Director of Destination Caldwell.
This 7.3 million dollar revitalization. brought to you by Destination Caldwell, will bring you a summer series of live entertainment and movies, splash pads for the kiddos, life size games for the adults and outdoor seating for conversations on the plaza.
This all starts Tuesday with the Grant Farm Band. Kicking off the summer concert series where folks can come and eat, drink and listen to music in the comfort of the plaza.
"The plaza is going to be a premiere gathering place it's going to bring in communities, it's going to bring in the Treasure Valley," Rosenthal said.
Two hundred plus events will be held at the plaza every year. Rosenthal says the economic base will change and it will be a vibrant place to be.
"It will bring revitalization. The businesses downtown, all these buildings are going to fill up. And the buildings that are already full with businesses, they are just going to have a resurgence in their business," Rosenthal said.
Yoga and Tai Chi Wednesday's and Cinema Thursday's will also be held at the plaza. All, free admission to host your summer fun.
"It will change Caldwell like nothing else has changed it in many, many years," Rosenthal said.
