Boise Police Department are investigating a report of rape at Boise State University involving a student, Thursday evening.

A Timely Warning Notice from BSU stated that the victim reported an unknown man walked her to his residence and sexually assaulted her, while she lacked capacity to consent.

The notice stated that the only person responsible for sexual misconduct is the perpetrator.

BSU added that it is a violation of their policy to engage in sexual activity without consent from the other person, non-consensual groping, recording sexual activity without consent, stalking, and exposing oneself in non-consensual circumstances.

The notice advises students and faculty to make sure they have consent before they engage in any sexual activity and to not feel obligated to do anything they don't want to do.

Reports of sexual misconduct or questions related to sexual misconduct should be directed to Alicia Estey, the Title IX Coordinator, at 208-426-1254, according to the notice.

Students and faculty are reminded that, in case of emergency, call 911, activate a blue emergency phone on campus, or call the Department of Public Safety at 208-426-6911.
