Boise Rescue Mission Ministries held a drive-thru version of their annual Great Thanksgiving Banquet in Nampa on Saturday.

"While things looked different than previous years, the Mission was excited for the opportunity to provide thousands of Thanksgiving meals to hungry families and individuals in the community," the Mission said.

Due to the pandemic, the mission had a drive-thru food box give away instead of its traditional sit-down meals.

"It was amazing to see what we were able to accomplish with the help of the entire community. Thanks to all the donations from generous individuals and local businesses, we had the opportunity to once again serve people in need at this extraordinarily difficult time. We truly could not do any of this without the support of our community and our partners," Reverend Bill Roscoe, President/CEO of the Mission, said.

The Mission will also be handing out food boxes in Boise on Tuesday, Nov. 24 at True Hope Church from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
