BOISE, Idaho (KBOI) — The secret about living in the Treasure Valley has been out for a while.
It's a nice place to live, work and especially play. But now the City of Trees is getting recognized for its relatively safe quarters.
According to MSN, Boise was ranked as the eighth safest city in the world.
"The capital of Idaho lies in the foothills of the Rocky Mountains," the article stated. "That makes for beautiful hiking trails, but Boise also has plenty of museums, galleries, and restaurants to explore too, and it's only growing."
The article lists Abu Dhabi, the capital of the United Arab Emirates, as the safest city in the world. The only other city in the United States to make the list was Salt Lake City, which was ranked No. 49.
The cities were ranked using data from Numbeo, which describes itself as the "world's largest database of user contributed data about cities and countries world wide."
