BOISE, Idaho (CBS2) — Boise Police has an important new member on the force.
Her name is Clover, a golden retriever rescue from the Idaho Humane Society. She's now trained as a service dog.
She's good a boosting the mood around the station house and helps connect with the people of Boise.
"All the newsworthy topics that you see everyday from the mental health crisis, to drug and alcohol abuse and addiction, child abuse, all that is stuff we're dealing with on a daily basis," said Harry Maalouf, Boise PD officer. "It's what most people are seeing on the news. To have this as a positive both for officer and for the community as a way to connect and do stories like this has been probably the most overwhelmingly positive thing I've been apart of with law enforcement.
