BOISE, Idaho (CBS2) — A 39-year-old Boise man was sentenced on Wednesday to serve up to 35 years in prison for possessing child pornography, sexual battery and stalking teen girls.
The Ada County prosecutor says for several months in 2021 Kyle C. Baxter stalked several teen girls at various parks in Ada County. In one occasion, he grabbed a victim's buttocks and in another, he made a sexually suggestive comment and appeared to be recording the victim.
He also texted one of the victims and tried to engage in a sexually explicit conversation, officials say.
The girls told an Ada County deputy who was spotted at one of the parks, and reported the activity. He was later arrested in August of 2021 and officials say they found hundreds of sexually explicit pictures and videos of minors in his possession.
He'll have to serve a minimum of 20 years before he's eligible for parole.
“I want to thank the victims in this case for speaking out and reporting the alarming conduct by the defendant,” said Jan Bennetts, Ada County prosecutor. “Their courage to come forward quickly to report, and the Meridian Police officers’ and Ada County Sheriff’s deputies’ thorough follow up of these investigations, allowed my office to ensure justice was served.”
