Blaine County sheriff: Former nursery worker accused of stealing $58K worth of gear

A former nursery employee in Blaine County is accused of stealing tens of thousands of dollars worth of equipment from his former employer.

The Blaine County Sheriff's Office says Hunter David Dean, 21, of Hailey used a lockbox code to gain entry into the Webb Nursery in late September. Deputies say he stole $58,000 worth of high priced tools and mechanic equipment including a Snap-On toolbox.

He's currently being held in the Twin Falls County Jail. Most of the stolen property has been recovered.

“I want to commend the excellent police work and multi-agency cooperation in this case," Blaine County sheriff Steve Harkins said.
